How on earth are kids today (or ever) supposed to know about the election process? My mom doesn't bother to vote, my dad only votes president, since that's all he care about, defeat the democrats, keep muslims out of government, wahtever. My parents and extended family are all basically just hick bigots so they are no use on this process. They just seem to understand taxes bad, illegals murder and rape and steal our healthcare. After that I went to college, skipped a lot of gen ed due to and I missed out on paying attention to politics that whole time outside of the struggle of illegal immigration, having lived in Houston at the time, and then just sick of Bush's war and the drain it had.
