Really good, straightforward explanations of cooking techniques and baking principles, and then easy ways to expand on them and feel comfortable experimenting. I hate this so goddamn much. A friend has been unemployed for 3 months. He had an interview yesterday and both his cars broke down with no money to repair them. He ran out of money. He is a single man with no dependents, around 30, has a good degree, worked for most of it and has had decent salaries. I told him he should have at least 6 months worth of money saved up, if not 12. I already downcasted my expectation for him. He did NOT receive that well. He was like what on earth kind of job do you do and started attacking me. Learn that life is just a time line of events, except that the events occurring can be manipulated and that would change the events occurring in the future. Shit does not change thinking about past You should know how to read a room. Be mindful enough to speak and act appropriately given your present company. You should recognize when you cross a line and be comfortable apologizing for being a jackass. You should know when to give your opinion and when to just nod. Be aware of when the argument is pointless and back out, let it go. You don’t have to have the last word and raising your voice doesn’t increase the validity of your point.
