 He would go thru my stuff and steal my anxiety meds and money. Got married young, getting divorced young. We both were not mature enough. She broke my heart. It wasn't smart getting married so soon, but i was blinded by love. A friend has been unemployed for 3 months. He had an interview yesterday and both his cars broke down with no money to repair them. He ran out of money. He is a single man with no dependents, around 30, has a good degree, worked for most of it and has had decent salaries. I told him he should have at least 6 months worth of money saved up, if not 12. I already downcasted my expectation for him. He did NOT receive that well. He was like what on earth kind of job do you do and started attacking me. Save enough money so that you can last at least 6 months of unemployment. Ideally, 12. I know it is hard for many people if you don't earn enough. But that makes it all the more vital if you live paycheck to paycheck. It can be all the more disastrous. I know some countries have some unemployment benefit of some sort and some countries let you pay in extra so you get paid out more - that can be good as people in higher professions can afford to wait for a better job instead of grabbing any old thing in the mean time.
